It is always our pleasure to host a tasting event. These cigars, named for the founder of the Davidoff brand, are blends of Dominican and Peruvian tobaccos, which are aged for over four years. The tobaccos are then combined with a binder from Connecticut and finished with a Connecticut Ecuador wrapper. The result is a unique and dynamic taste. Gurkha Tasting Event at De La Concha

On Thursday, April 2nd, from noon until 6pm, we will be hosting a tasting of the fine cigars from Gurkha. Robert Dow, the Gurkha Rep, will be on hand to answer questions and explain the various blends that make up this brand of cigars. When you buy two Gurkha cigars you will receive a complimentary cigar. We will also feature a spirits tasting in the afternoon.

Ron Melendi’s Trip to Mexico

It’s that time again for another T.A.A. convention. What is the T.A.A.? Well it’s the Tobacconist Association of America and it’s being held this year at the Casa Magna resort in Cancun Mexico.
So far my trip has been great. Other than waiting over an hour to get through customs I enjoyed a relaxing first day and am now getting ready to go down to the first meeting this morning. I’ll keep you all posted.
