Dunhill Pipe Show: Dec 10 and 11

We are pleased and excited to announce our upcoming annual Dunhill Pipe Show. For all our pipe-smoking customers and for those who have considered joining the Fellowship Of The Briar, this show is the pinnacle of the year. It was around 1910 when Alfred Dunhill discovered the way to cure and season fine briar, creating a perfect smoking instrument. This process of curing was laborious and expensive and the first Dunhill Pipes were about twice the price of other pipes of the day. However, because of the excellent smoking qualities of these pipes, the Dunhill store could barely meet the demand. The Dunhill pipe has been consistently prized ever since.

It is rare to find large selections of Dunhills. In most well stocked stores you will usually find no more that 20-25 pipes at any one time. In most average stores the inventory may be far less. This is one of the things that make our annual Dunhill show so exciting. There are normally between 300-400 pipes on display at the show. Included in the selection will be rare pieces and collectables. Most finishes, shapes and sizes will be represented, as well as ‘Uniques’ and ‘Collectors’. We will also be offering a 15% discount on your selections.

This annual event is far too big for one day so we will be hosting this show for 2 days, Wednesday and Thursday, December 10th and 11th. Joining our staff for this event will be Chris Felts of Music City Marketing. Music City is the US distributor of Dunhill and Chris is the US National Sales Manager for Alfred Dunhill products. In addition, Kalmon Hener, the head of the Dunhill London Factory, will also be joining us for this event. We look forward to greeting both those who love pipes and those who are curious about pipes as we celebrate the excellence of ‘The White Spot’.
